Gresham Executive is seeking a Chief Financial Officer who will shape the finance function to actively drive the company's next phase of growth and lay the foundation for genuine scaling at this pivotal moment.
About the Role:
The mandate calls for a Chief Financial Officer with full accountability for target achievement, the management control system and organisational maturity. This is a growth-achieving targets, the management control system, and maturity-oriented role, not exit-driven, and without planned management participation.
Finance and Controlling act as a service partner to the business, actively driving measurable improvements in core processes and target achievement rather than merely tracking them. This goes beyond pure accountability for the numbers. The CFO brings a genuine understanding of core operational processes and shares responsibility for implementing improvements together with the business.
A central element of the role is to drive the target cascade consistently throughout the entire organisation, from company-level objectives through subsidiaries, divisions and segments, down to teams and operational measures. Parallel KPI systems give way to a unified target framework that provides the organisation with a clear, consistent view of performance.
The mandate also significantly expands Treasury and Corporate Finance well beyond traditional bank financing and syndicated loans, to encompass mezzanine capital, debt funds, institutional investors and capital market-ready reporting, positioning Finance as a true driver of the company's next growth phase.
We are looking for someone who:
● Brings CFO experience in a growing group of companies
Several years of experience as CFO or in a senior finance position within an internationally active, mid-market or private equity-/investor-led group of companies.
● Has led performance and process management
Demonstrable success in building target frameworks, KPI cascades, management reporting, FP&A and action tracking, with a clear ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
● Understands Corporate Finance and Treasury
Solid experience managing bank relationships, multi-bank structures, covenants, working capital, cash pooling and alternative financing instruments.
● Knows the investor and PE environment
Familiar with the reporting standards and expectations of financial investors, banks and capital market-adjacent stakeholders.
● Can drive governance and scaling
Proven ability to establish clear governance structures, roles and authority models, decision-making logic and standards within decentralised organisations.
● Confidently drives transformation and systems
Proven command of ERP, BI, reporting data models, process automation and digital finance tools, with the drive to advance the digital maturity of Finance.
