Head of Finance (CFO Track)

Company Profile

The company is a fast-growing, private equity–backed software and services provider specialising in Document Management and Customer Communication Management (CCM). It operates primarily in highly regulated markets, including healthcare, housing, banking and insurance, and the energy sector.

The company focuses on the preparation, processing, and delivery of business-critical and highly sensitive documents such as (e-)invoices, reminders, energy bills, HR documents, price change notifications, and account statements.

Role Objective

This position is designed as a build-up and development role with a clearly defined path towards the CFO position and, in the longer term, potential progression into general management.

The company is seeking an ambitious finance professional who is ready to take the next career step in a Private Equity environment and is motivated by actively scaling a growing business.

The role holder will be responsible for the continued development of the finance function, further professionalisation of reporting and consolidation, financial integration of acquisitions, and ongoing communication with banks and shareholders.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and development of the finance organisation, including:

  • 3 FTE in Accounting / Accounts Receivable / Credit Management
  • 2 FTE in Contract Management

Further development and professionalisation of finance processes, with a strong hands-on mindset

Sparring partner to executive management and Private Equity investors

Overall responsibility for group reporting, including:

  • Monthly management reporting
  • Consolidation of group entities
  • Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements

Management of reporting processes for add-on acquisitions, including:

  • Integration into group reporting
  • Harmonisation of finance processes

Automation and efficiency improvements, including:

  • Further development of Microsoft Business Central
  • Use of LucaNet for consolidation and reporting

Ensuring accurate analysis and interpretation of the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow

Primary point of contact for banks, including:

  • Monthly and quarterly bank reporting
  • Covenant monitoring

Regular communication with Private Equity shareholders

Support of exit preparation and future Private Equity transactions

Financial support of the transformation of the business model, particularly towards:

  • Subscription-based and recurring revenue models

Derivation of financial recommendations and value creation initiatives, particularly in the context of pricing model development

Candidate Profile

• Strong finance background, ideally gained in:

  • Audit, Transaction Services, or Deals Advisory

• Proven experience in:

  • Group reporting and consolidation
  • Financial management within fast-growing or Private Equity–backed companies

• Prior Private Equity experience is an advantage, but not a requirement

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a comparable field

• Strong understanding of financial statements and underlying commercial drivers

• Ability to structure, automate, and scale finance processes

• Confident communicator with banks, investors, and senior management

• Business-fluent English

• Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and growth-oriented working style
